This privately owned protected area has been developed,
and is owned, by the Organization of Tropical Studies
(OTS). This reserve has been built up and added to
over the years until it is now connected to Braulio
Carrillo National Park. Its up-to-date laboratories
and carefully protected forest make it one of the
most important ecological sites in Costa Rica.
