This
is a small but important reserve on the SW portion
of the Nicoya Peninsula. It has an area of 84 hectares.
This reserve is an unusual mixed property belonging
to both the national government and the Schutt Family.
The reserve has a wide range of wildlife. It harbors
a colony of the giant oyster (Ostrea iridescents)
which is extremely rare throughout the Pacific Coast.
The reserve has microbus service from the nearby town
of Paquera and there are cabins available within the
reserve.
